Speech pathology workforce in Australia project

Speech Pathology Australia (the Association) plays a key role in supporting and understanding the speech pathology workforce in Australia.

The Association is undertaking research about the speech pathology workforce. To this end, the Association is conducting a series of surveys.

Why this research?

Priorities in the Speech Pathology Australia Strategic Plan 2020-2022 include:

  • ensuring that the speech pathology workforce can respond to diverse communities
  • developing an understanding of the workforce trends to identify strategies to support the profession now and into the future
  • mapping current demands of the profession and future needs of the community.
